LORD VISHWAKARMA

He is revered as the architect of the universe and the designer of the divine flying chariots of the Gods, along with their celestial weapons. Chariots hold a special place in our civilization, symbolizing purpose, speed, and dynamism. Traditionally driven by powerful horses, they represent energy and direction. It was on such a chariot, aeons ago, that Lord Krishna imparted the Principles of Karma to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. This wisdom guided Arjuna toward purposeful action and became a guiding light for generations, marking a defining moment in the Mahabharata.

At Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), we draw inspiration from the symbolism of the chariot, reflecting Haryana’s legendary connection to the Mahabharata. Lord Vishwakarma, the divine craftsman, was not only the creator of celestial tools but also a visionary city planner. He designed Dwaraka, the capital of Lord Krishna, Hastinapur, the seat of the Kauravas, and Indraprastha, the glorious city of the Pandavas. Each creation stands as a testament to precision and innovation.

Our university architecture reflects this legacy. The six academic blocks symbolize the chariot’s horses, representing knowledge and progress, while the administrative and auditorium blocks act as the balancing wheels, ensuring harmony and stability. This design embodies the spirit of purposeful action, innovation, and resilience, reflecting the values taught in the Mahabharata.
